sup guys. I'm beginning to rethink my sub setup. I don't really want to waste the 20 cubes gross I have to play with and 1800watts on a single 18xxx. I'm thinking something more like 4 15s, 8 12s or 10s you know the drill. Its gotta fit in 20 cubes and be compatible with 2x 900w @ 2ohms

hmm solo x in a spl ported box is supposed to be around 12. being that you have 20 cubes to play with for enclosure i think you VAS should yield nice numbers with that box

i would do a 6th order bandpass(rear chamber 7cubes ported tuned to 25hz with 100sq in port playing into 9cubes ported area tuned to 50hz with 150 sq in port) with that 1 18xxx and 20 cubes and 250 sq in worth of port:up2somet:

the output would be crazy loud and the lows will be so voilent i dont think u would able to sit in your car

80's got the right idea. 20 cubes gross. altho I'm leaning twords using like 4 15's

4 ported mid rms high sensitivity 15's vs. 1 ported high rms mid sensidivity 18

hmmmm. my problem with the 18xxx is I have to run an amp seperate on each voice coil and every time I run the numbers and plot graphs the perams are screwed up

btw 80 that box fits PERFECT in my space

80 chack to see if this is right. the yellow is your 6th order the blue my ported and the green is my 2 sx10's as a control

it just makes no sense to waste 20 cubes for 1 18 when I could run like 4 15's altho I think you are talking me into a bandpass. so 80 do me a favor. design me one that'll get loud.... LOUD at least 145... if not 150 but still sq oriented. I'm going to be running a h701 for my eq/alignment needs to if that info helps (off for burps) I have 56 inches wide and 24 inches tall to play with. 28 top 34 bottom

with 20 cubes total available, i don't think you can get a loud 6th order built, even w/ 1 18.

even the above design would require 16 cubes, and that not taking account for any wood or the port volume for enclosure 1.

ok 80 I cant fit 7 and 9 but I was able to do 7.168 @ 25.05hz and 8.657 @ 49.17hz 101.25 sq in and 146.625 sq inch respectively (subtracting the port volume manually) I got the iso drawn up in cad

X_x bass box 6 pro looks nice and handy to use but I also just saw the price on it lol...I guess Ive got some searching to do....
