Ive tried searching for a review of these components but I couldnt find one. I was just wondering if anyone here runs them and how they preform. They are only 120 on sonicelectronix and they look pretty nice for the price. freq. response is 30-33khz so they seem like they will get loud. I like a harsh tweet but I also want good mid bass. So if anyone has these hows the tweet, mid? What do they compare to? I was looking at some DLS comps too but I dont know if they will be loud enough for me. Any other suggestions on a good loud comp set?

They are actually the 1720C, and they incorporate some of the same technology used in the TS-C720PRS components. They just came out about a month ago, which is probably why you aren't finding any reviews. I do know a member over on DIYMA just bought a set a few days ago and is waiting on shipment. Maybe stop by in a week to see his review on them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Oh right right... well they should be pretty much the same components, except the Premiers will have a 2 year warranty. Unless you buy them from Sonic. lawl //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif They seem solid though from what I can tell. Not bad for the money.

I just wonder if they will be loud enough for me,I like a harsh tweet. Looking at the freq response it seems like they will be loud, also they have a 1.1" tweet. I want good mid bass to tho. I wish I could demo them at a shop but no place around here has them.

These are the Rev replacements. I would guess they are probably on that same level; a great budget set that can get loud and sound pretty good.

nah i dont like them at all, the surround lets them down alot imo, and not having a sealed cone looses a far bit of mid-bass, in aus the model is a tsc171prs and we have them in our prs demo board atm, so anyone thats a decent pioneer/premier dealer should have them on display.... i'd much rather the old tsc160r rev splits

I have a set of the D720's coaxials ( not comps) inbound for use as rear fill. They should be here any day. They looked impressive on paper (and shared allot of features with the PRS's) anyway.

I don't expect them to sound like a $400 set of CDT's but I'm hopefull they are better than my Polk DB's for my rears.

car audio and electronics mag has a good review on them in the June edition I think you can go check it out on their website or buy the issue. They got an 80/100 which is good for a set so cost efficient.

I was able to quickly audition a set today. Now I must qualify this by saying that I have not heard many quality installs or components, BUT to my ears, I did hear a lot of midbass that people are talking about. They sounded fairly decent, the upper midrange seemed a little thin/shrill/harsh. Not enough to stop me from buying them, but enough that it might merit attention when installing. I should note that the shrillness went away off-axis, so it might be a function of the design. There was no sub running with them, but I did have to make sure because I didn't believe there wasn't one at first.

Anyway take my opinion with a grain of salt. I think they would be worth the internet prices, but my dealer wanted full MSRP of $220.00 and that is out of my budget.

Well after the last post I don't think I will be getting a set. I am not a big soft dome tweeter type guy. Had that in my type X set and wasn't big on the tweets. Mids were ok, but just never could seem to get my tweets they way I wanted. My buddy said, don't get the soft dome tweets. I don't know, took it for his word, lol!
