Pioneer premier Tdw3001 Box ports does this sound right??

I just ordered 4 Pioneer premier Tdw3001 12in subs

I'm going to build a ported box so I looked up the manual

at pioneers web sight And it called for a 1.6cubic ft box

and round port size of (3in ID X 2.5in length)

That didn't sound right to me so I called them up and there tec

assured me this was the correct thing to do??? Iv never built

a box with ports that small and the 2.5in deep is what gets me

Does this sound right??
