Pioneer Premier Pioneer AVIC-F90BT vs Alpine IVA-w505

I am looking at these two units and am trying to make an informed decision. I have a very basic system. Upgraded speakers in the factory locations and a 10 inch sub is all. I like the all included features of the Pioneer but I have always owned Alpine head units. Is the the Alpine worth the extra $200 plus added navi unit I'd have to purchase?

Please help me.

f90 is a great deck but if your the type of person who is never satisfied...u may want to get the w505 cuz later u can get the h701...which takes u to another level.

I just finished installing the W505. I got it for around $800, and I lucked out on the Navi and got it for $199 from Sound Advice, a local stereo shop that was going out of business. I'm REALLY happy with it so far. I don't know how the F90bt is in this regard, but I remember some complaints about some of the Pioneers taking a long time to boot up and play stuff. If I shut the Alpine down while playing from my iPod and leave it connected (which I do almost always) that thing starts playing within seconds of me turning on the ignition. The Nav and stuff continues to boot, but I have tunes. It would drive me nuts if I had to wait 30 seconds to a minute before playing anything. It may seem like a minor detail, but once you live with it it will be more important. Again though...this may not apply to the Pioneer you're looking at.
