Pioneer Premier 10" sounds like shit ...

Pioneer Premier TS-W106DVC @ 600w peak. 4 ohms per VC.

I built a sealed box from 3/4 MDF @ 1^3ft. Sealed the box with Elmer's wood glue, screws, and caulking.

I wired the sub in series for 8 ohms. I'm running it off an "800w" Pyramid Audio amp. I tried it also on my 600w RF amp bridged to one channel.

A single TS-W250R (SVC @ 500w max, 4 ohms) can get louder than this DVC Premier.

It is able to go pretty low, but for some reason on higher bass notes, it sounds almost as if theres a high pitched (for a sub) Bloop in the notes. It sounds horrible. Got any ideas?

well for starters why are you running a single sub at 8 ohms, thats like no power
I blew the amp (got it repaired for free) running two 4 ohm TS-W250R's on 2 channels, so bridged channel + 8ohms is the same load on the amp, am I correct? I didn't want to blow the amp again...

Update: I dropped the sub down to 2 ohms. I gets much louder now, however it still has the higher pitched bloop at the top. I noticed a small leak on the front baffle that im going to fill with caulk, ill update in a bit.

I went out and sealed the entire OUTSIDE of the box with caulking as well. So if there are any leaks now, I'm gonna crap myself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

update when it dries.

your runnign it with a pyramid amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

there must be somthing wrong because i use to have the 12" version and it hit very good and had good enough sound quality.
