used but 700 none the less. i have no worries on buying used/ebay stuff as i can get it fixed with or without warranty. at least pioneer, zapco, us amps, focal, eclipse, and alpine:D.

Looks like a great deal as long as the guy took care of it. But MOST people who buy equipment of that calibur DO take very good care. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

you spelled it calibur its correctly spelled caliber

I purchased P9 refurbs (factory refurbs, btw) from IkeSound for $700.00.

My P9 setup is for sale as well.

Also, I'd like to mention that buying refurbished P9 units is actually better than buying used (and new in some cases). Just make sure that they are refurbished by Pioneer. Often they replace the broken components with better ones as to avoid the problem in the future, they are also sent through quality control and have to meet the factory standards. Now of course you don't have the warranty, but you are saving so much money you can practically afford to buy a new component should something happen. Its a much better way to get a P9 combo than rather buying a used setup for $1000.00+. Of course, if you can find it NIB for a good price, its still worth it.

There is no reason to overpay for high end gear. New or used.

Just my 2 cents.

First of all I would never agree that a refurb could compare to a BNIB unit. The 2 year warranty alone is WELL worth the extra money you pay for a new one. I would however agree that a refurb would be more enticing than a used unit when you have no idea what abuse the previous owner put it through.

The term overpay is very subjective. You might think I overpaid for my P9 combo where I on the other hand do NOT. Like I mentioned earlier I have the warranty and the peace of mind that NO ONE has ever put their hands on it. In my opinion buying brand new is and always will be worth it even if you're paying alot more. Unless of course it is a unit that is no longer made. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
