Pioneer Ipod adapter

I have a p880prs and im in need of an ipod adapter for 2nd gen ipod touch. I bought a cheap one from sonic electronics, and hooked it up and doesnt work. Im not to particular if it is controlled by the head unit, because i heard they are all slow and a pain in the azz. however, i would like it to charge my ipod. If anybody has any experience or suggestions with any adapters, id appreciate some input.

A cheap way to charge your Ipod would be to have one of those cigarette lighter to usb charging plugs. I have one in one of my cars and will try to get you a photo shortly!

Yea i have one thats works fine, but im trying to eliminate the clutter of all the wires and do it all with one unit.

If you got this: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6907_Pioneer+CD-IB100II.html that "should" work with controlling your IPOD from the HU and charging it...
