pioneer ipod adapter controlled through ipod?

I was reading online you could do this..the control through the HU is awfully slow...anybody have any of their ways they bypassed the HU and controlled the music directly from the ipod...I have a Premier DEH P8MP if anyone has that as well. Ive tried googling this to no avail

If you just want to control the iPod directly, then you could replace the Pioneer iPod adapter with an aux-input adapter and just run it as an auxiliary source.

o would but i just picked up this adapter and i heard the aux quality isnt as good as the adapters
