Pioneer HU turns on but is dim? HELP!

Hey everyone! I've been out of the game for a while now, but I was trying to install my old Pionner DEH-p800r back into my Nissan 350z. The head unit turns on, plays everything that it's supposed to, etc........ BUT the screen on it is VERY VERY dim. I can barely even see it! Did I wire some illumination or something wrong? It was working fine in a different car not too long ago. Only thing I can think of is the backlight on the LCD blew out? possible? Or am I just a moron that didnt wire something correctly? I can't figure it out. Please help a newbie! Thanks in advance!
