pioneer headunit cuts out

i have Pioneer DEH-P6900UB and when ever i turn it up after a few minutes it will continue playing but there is no sound coming from the speakers. i dont know if it is overheating or what the problem could be. my subwoofers still play when this happens but no other speakers do. what could be wrong with it?

i had the same problem with my deh1900 mp it was caused by a short in one of the wires to the front speakers .dose it make a poping sound when it dose it if it dose that probly your problem . it took me about an hour or two to go through and find the short in it

it doesnt make a popping sound at all it just stops working. i didnt know if maybe it was powering too many speakers becuase in my yukon there (2) 6.5" components then (2) 6.5" door speakers in the back doors and then in the very back there are (2) 4x10s
