Pioneer Head Unit wont turn off

I have a Pioneer DEH-P4000UP (HD) head unit that I can't turn off. The owners manual says I should hold the SOURCE/OFF button down until it powers off. All it does is cycle to different sources. I installed it last week. I searched the pioneer support pages without any luck. Any ideas?

push and hold....not push and let go and push and let go till it turns off.

Like 2 seconds. If it doesn't turn off, more than likely you mixed the constant wires with the switched.

Looks like its back to the install shop. I used the best place in town, but anyone can have a bad day. Thanks for the assistance!

all you should have to do is hold the button down until it turns off then release the button it has nothing to do with how its installed

I wish it would turn off, but no luck. The best I get from holding the button down is that it switches to the next source. If its not wired incorrectly, there must be another problem - but I will let the installers figure that out. I was hoping that maybe I missed something in the owners manual.
