pioneer h/u eq setting question

ok i have a pioneer 4600mp which have a parametric eq which is common in most pioneer h/u i see anyway is it best to leave the low end of the eq flat some songs need a low lift but when i bump it to 1 or 2 its way too punchy even with the center frequency set to 40 hz which is the lowest selectable. How can i adjust this eq to boost the really low notes?

Other than going with an outboard equalizer there isn't much else you can do with that particular deck. Which is why alot of guys go with the more expensive decks.....more tuning abilities.
