Pioneer DEH 4900ib ILL problem

After connecting the player to the car's ISO plugs, ive noticed that it doesnt do anything when I turn the lights on.

I have checked the car plug and it delivers 12+ on the wire that corresponds to the HU`s "ILL" wire. The original player, the one the car came with, would light up when i would turn on the lighs.

So, im wondering, doesnt the Pioneer dim when you turn on the lights and, thus, expect 12- on that wire instead of the 12+ it's getting? Or is it something else?
