How is the interface on Pioneer's decks, as far as ipod controls?

It's horrible.

Worst thing ever made...whoever designed it and said 'Hey, this works well with an Ipod!' should locate a bridge and heave himself off of it.

From what i heard and experienced, you're better off plug it in directly to aux output in the back of your deck. Only need one cable and its cheaper. I hated the interface for my alpine, it was slow to respond and scrolling was painfull to watch:eyebrow:

i got the aux input adapter...its pretty good...sounds as good as an mp3 player..and its better to get the dock to rca wire..so u can adjust the volume through the headunit

The AUX adaptor is better then the CD-IB100, and the alpine interface is better then pioneers. Pioneer managed to make THE WORST iPod interface out of all the brands I sell. 8 characters of display text, horrifically slow loading... the list goes on.

Yep. i have mine on my steering wheel. Easy access

do the aux in way for now. I heard in the summer pioneer is coming out with a new one. Multi-line text, display song, album, artist. search artist, songs, albums, genre, and should be faster. and people w/ the 6.5 - 7 in screens, it displays a screen similar to the ipod.
