Pioneer AVIC-N2/N3 Help

Alright i have the Pioneer Avic-N2 and i am a bit confused.

ok it says that the ipod can be hooked up to this with the CD-IB100II , but i cant find where to hook the wires. i looked and it has no mention in the owners manual. Do you know how to hook up the ipod using the CD-IB100II ?

Also In The owners manual it says that you cannot use the basic navigation functions such as the adress search while in drive. i was wondering is there was a way to get around this?

Finally if i keep this unit with no equalizer will it detract from the rest of the system? Will i get the best out of my system without an equalizer or do i really need an equalizer?

it goes right into the box i believe... and ya there is a way to get around it.
