Pioneer avic f series

I have been looking at these lately and comparing them to a couple other units. This one looks like it has the best bang for my buck except it has very mixed reviews. All the reviews and opinions i have read are either one extreme or the other i know there was a new firmware released but i have heard that are still issues. Looking for more opinions of anyone who owns one. Do you think the features are worth the possible problems?

i just ordered the f900bt cant wait for it to come in..it already has the 2.0 version software make sure u get taht or it will be slow

yah the upgrade was a big difference but all in all it's a great HU

Ya it seems like it is packed full of features i have heard of issues with the bluetooth like dropped calls touch screen button response can be slow and then just small bugs that are still in the firmware. Does anyone know where i can find a list of what cell phones are supported? I have a motorola razr2 v9m.

I love mine. It was buggy at first but after the 2.0 update it works flawlessly!!

Does anyone know the depth of the f90bt? I am wondering why crutchfield says it won't fit my car.

I do have a DD but crutchfield only shows some units as fitting. I think it might be due to my depth i have 6 and 5/8th inches.

but isnt the 90bt the one that dosent go in ur dash..its sits up top?

Nope your thinking of the 500bt. Hmm now i am curious why crutchfield says that. Where did you find the dimensions.

I just did a online chat at crutchfield and they said the avic 900bt is 7.055" deep so i guess i found my problem. Where did you see 6.5"?
