Pioneer AVH-X2500BT question

I have this head unit and I use my Samsung galaxy S4 with it.. one of the annoying things with it is Pandora, sometimes I will get a bunch of connection errors, and sometimes when pressing connect on the head unit it will start Pandora on the phone and I have about a 10% chance of it starting up and just playing.

I was curious if anyone else has this issue?

Another is I was just looking on the Pioneer website and a few apps they list says apple/android for example I use Waze, however on the site it shows it on the head unit and I don't understand how they are able to do that? or do I need some type of adapter?
