Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD

on page 26 of the owner's manual it states on how to view your jpeg as a slide show. Too many instructions steps and pictures to elaborate here but you can view them.

Thanks nash- that thing is impossible to look through. They should've given the manual a UI as awesome as the HU //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

I went onto their web site and downloaded the pdf file which is must easier to read and as for the background swap, if you have some jpeg and are being viewed, you can capture 1 jpeg and set it up as your background but you can only do 1 at a time.

So, nate, I finally got around to making this. I got a Double DIN stock HU from an 02-03 WRX locally for 20 bucks and started ripping it apart.

Will probably do some more refinement later, but works for now.

Hey guys, I did some googling and came across this thread. Thank you to Heel for posting a thorough review of the unit.

I'm considering installing a unit like this in to my 2011 Corolla but I was wondering a couple things...

First off, I see that this head unit is bluetooth capable, but it doesn't seem to be ready out of the box. One of the things I really like about my stock stereo unit that i have in my Corolla right now is the ability to stream music from my iPhone 4 directly to my stereo via bluetooth. I also have the option to play it via USB.

What I was wondering is, does the head unit, as is out of the box, allow you to stream music via bluetooth from your phone, or will you need to purchase another accessory to enable this feature.

And secondly, I was wondering if anyone here who does have this unit, have they used the MotionX GPS navigation feature, and how well does it actually work?

Seeing as though this is my first post, I can't insert a link to the video with the Motion X GPS and Pioneer working together, but if you are interested... Just google "MotionX GPS Pioneer"

Welcome to the forum JTC,

I believe you can stream Pandora over bluetooth out of the box but not 110%. I know you can use the sync cable with your iphone and control it through the HU, whilst the 4300 charges your phone.

I googled and found this, and it says the 4300 is one of the HU's MotionX GPS is compatible with. I don't own an iPhone so I'm sorry I can't say I've tried it.

edit: Here's the owner's manual too, if it helps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Nice radio decoy
Lulz thanks. A friend who knew I had a 4300 thought he parked next to the wrong car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif I'm just glad it won't be glaringly obvious to naughty thieves when I go back to school in Flint. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

thanks for the good review. I ordered one and got it installed, but it will not play avi files from my usb drive...! they will play music fine and I can navigate to see the folders and such, but the folders that have videos in them are grayed out. I've tried different usb drives and converting to the Divx avi format, but neither has worked... thanks for the help!

Mine has done that on occasion - not entirely sure why. Try a lower-res avi file and see if that works; I know that the 4200 didn't like HD video.

Welcome to the forum btw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

And I'm sorry for the ridiculous delay but here is the the pic of the remote:

Nothin too special but it works. The pause doesn't work while using some sources I've noticed.

I LOVE this stereo. the only thing that gets kinda buggy is when you try to use the link search, it is kinda laggy. actually, it takes a long time sometimes.
