Hello All,

Just wondering if I throw a 125x2 Pioneer Amp on my Pioneer TS-A1665 6.5s will it damage the speakers. I'm rather new to max watts and rms and the like. The speakers have a 50w rms and can handle a peak of 180. The pioneer amp puts out 125w rms at 4ohms. Can someone translate that for me and tell me whether or not i'm going to damage my speakers ?

Thx in advance

I wouldnt try it......My Pioneer 6x9s say 45w rms and 220 peak but they distort when I give them a lot of bass from just my head unit and it's only 45w rms.I think Pioneer's like that are better just running from your CD player. They really don't need a lot of power to sound good in my opinion. But I really dont know if it would damge them or not.....
