Pioneer 7800MP used or new what would you get ??

ok , I am going to buy this **** thing . The main reason is brag rights and all around cool options + color. This way no matter what else I own that anyone can dog on (my orion P series 10" subwoofers) they will be less content to dog on this beauty 7800MP //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif .

Anyhow, before I have this sucker shipped to my house, I am wondering if anyone knows a great deal about the ebay sold refurbished head units.

Has anyone here bought a refurbished unit ? How did it workout ?

Also if you buy a refurbished unit, whats the odds of it failing a second time ?

You can get a refurbished 7800MP for 230$ on ebay. Or get one new for 265$ . I know its only a difference of 30$ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif but if anyones kept track of my post , in this week alone, just this very week alone I have already spent 1136$ on car audio stuff . I feel depressive from being slightly broke LOL not going out anywhere to save money //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Yet I am compulsed to fulfill my system with everything it needs. This next friday I will have my Orion HCCA 250 at the door step. I have a full car component replacement kit. I purchased a high output battery, Street wire wiring kit for all of this, I have 200$ aside for a High output alternator soon to come ! I wonder if I am even going to need it ? I have a 420 SEL mercedes benz and I think the alt puts out 90 amps already or 100 . I forgot one of the two, but isnt that enought for a 1k system ?

230 plus 265 equals 495....Dont make the mistake of buying one you might get screwed on for the sake of 35 bucks. You will more than likely end up paying twice...Just my 2 cents...alrhough I do buy a lot on ebay and have never been screwed yet...(fingers crossed)

looks like prices on ebay for new 7800mp's are around 280-290 shipped. with that in mind, i'd just buy from cardomain (316.95 and free shipping) so you get it authorized and with better warranty.

why are you getting stuff to match what your friends expectations are? shouldnt you just go by your own standards and look into shit for preformance and not your friends opinion?

Why buy a refurbished one while you can get a new one for 30 bucks more..Refurbished usally dont come with a warenty...and if it broken..then your screw.

I bought one for $330 new off of crutchfield. What made me pay more there was their warranty. One of my comp speakers blew and they sent me a whole new set no questions asked.
