Pioneer 5200BT Ford Escort Help

Hey guys just recently joined, had a panasonic deck that was installed by best buy..Recently got a pioneer 5200bt but cannot hook it up because of the climate control ac knob's cord is simply not long enough to be able to hook up..Anybody have any idea on how to extend this cord to a give me some more slack..I have everything working but the hot/cold air so I am unable to put the deck in the dash....

By the way its an aftermarket dash install and its the middle knob the other 2 knobs have plenty of slack...need help been working on this for 4 days now

Your going to have to give us some more details or maybe even a pic or two. What does the cord for your climate controls have to do with installing a new HU?
