I have a pioneer 400 watt amplifier that is supposed to be 4 channel at 2ohms, and I have 8 polk audio speakers rated at 4ohms each. Can I hook a pair parallel to each of the four channels so that the amp. sees 2ohms on each channel? Also would it help to use a farad cap with the amp.?

Thanks for your help...

So this setup should work? A flux capicitor???? isn't that from back to the future??

yes," flux capacitor"its a joke.....lol you dont need a capacitor...i would run another battery before i would buy a cap...

and yes your amp will be fine running it at 2 ohms each channel...

This is the amplifier I have . Please let me know if you think it will be OK with 8 speakers wired to 4 channels parallel. The amp will see 2ohms on each of the four channels. Thanks

I have a pioneer 50x4 headunit. Would it be better to run two pair on the pioneer headunit and then the other two pair on the amp, or would this leed to a bunch of out of sync wattage wise speakers? Thanks for the input.. Greg
