pioneer, i hear alphasonik stuff isnt very good and that pioneer can get loud as shit off of about 1000 watts

I've just seen this pioneer on ebay with the amp and am wondering if its a good deal or if i should just buy the sub for $143.95 and find a better amp??

definitly dont get that amp, stay away from visionik, pyle, pyramid, boss, and some others. try looking into a hifonix amp that does around 1200 watts, wont be too expensive and would power that sub nicely.

a friend of mine has 3 of these in his full size, and does low 150's on a regular basis........ well i have asked about alphasoniks amps and components on here becuase i was lookin to buy and peopel told me no, there is much better stuff int hat price range, etc. and as far as the amps go, those are only for people who can run 17v amps and have hundreds upon hundreds of dollars to spend on an amp. a normal person like me and is asssuming the original poster will not get near the rated power on anything from visionik becuase they are rated at 17v, and everything in this guys pricerange is going to be crap anyway. everything you have talked about is their highest end model or close to it. correct me if i am wrong, but i am under the assumption that most of their lower to mid end products are crap. i would take lower line pioneer over lower line visionik anyday.

those visoniks amps are rated to power at 17 volts though, so on a normal car running at 14.4v it wont put out close to rated power.

none of the ebay sellers state the true 14.4v rms rating on those amps, only the 17v ratings. so the amp he was looking at wont put out that much power unless his car can maintain 17v
