10" midbass??//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif Where does the madness end?? I mean why in the world would you need a 10" midbass?? Just doesn't make sense to me unless you don't plan on subs.

maybe, if you are running 4 solo x's. otherwise i agree.

The size of a speaker only plays a small part in determining what frequencies it will play best at. That 10" might not play below 60hz very well for all we know. It all depends on the suspension, cone weight, etc.

Right. But if that 10" can only play a little below 60hz then it is definitely a waste of space.

They designed the set to be used on the rear deck of a car so you didn't actually have to use a subwoofer. This is the old stuff. One of our distributors found them in the warehouse and I got the set brand new for $80. And the 10 can play below 60 hz. The frequency response is 33-30000hz on the set.

I have the Canton Pullman RS set with the 8" mids and 1" dome tweets. I couldn't be happier with this old sku gear ... Too bad one of my xovers was crushed in my car wreck.

Would you consider selling this set? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I agree. A 6 1/2" midbass just doesn't work for me. Ive got the Dyaudio set in mine with the 8" up front.

Sounds to me like you've either never really gave it a chance OR you never had a really good 6.5" driver. I use a 6.5" up front and have midbass to spare. But then again, I don't have 1,000 + watts or more going to my subs so I don't need TONS of midbass to compensate.

I just prefer more myself. I've had a few different 6 1/2. I have had dual 6 1/2" Alpine Type R's in each door which I really liked but needed a change. A single Kicker SSMB 6 in each door which is more like a 7. Um...Alpine Type X, and now I have the Dynaudio System 360 in it. I have 200 watts rms going to each side and 700 watts going to my Image Dynamics IDMAX 12. I'm looking at getting a 400x to put on my midbass and a 200x on my tweeters and one on the midrange. You can NEVER have too much power! Also my sub doesn't overpower anything in my truck. It may be 2 db louder than the midbass and the crossover point is at 50 hz. I like for everything to sound like it is coming from up ront
