this install was awesome and fun to work on - it was for my car -

7 amps = Four JL 1000/1 Three JL 450/4

5 Subs = Four JL 12' W7 One JL 8' W7

5 EFX Batteries

What do you think of the 8' W7 from the headliner? ha ha - not the best place for sound - but it looked cool - which is what i was going for.

but then one day i got jacked -











I had coverage on my insurance - but figures = my dad switched insurance companies 2 weeks before it got jacked. Bummer - but i love what i do and this only makes me want to top it off.

Its actually a great combination to add midbass to fill in.... Smaller the speaker - better it can produce higher freq. The 8 was for show and sounded GREAT - just low output in the location i installed it at. Subs in the top middle of a car don't take advantage of the car's shape much.

Well... wasn't exactly a "stealth" based install... Looks like they took their sweet time with the extraction.

at least you dont have to refiberglass all that ... pick up some other subs and a nice 8" midbass for the top

as a general rule, yes they do. why else do 18's have much lower frequency rolloffs than 8's? and 6.5's? and 5.25's?
