Hey guys I just got my Planet Audio 2250D refurb amp today and took a few pics for ya...

The amp came with a bass knob, shinny ANL hi-quality fuse holder and a 175amp fuse, which I didn't plan on getting so it was a big plus.

So the only thing that I was dissapointed with was that I noticed that there was a ample amount of silicone on the amp, did they get sloppy on this thing or what? It looks nothing like the gutz of my Orion Xtreme 1200...

More info on the purchase of this amp...

So what do you guys think about this? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

*edit* 10/20/06 so it's verified that the silicone is nota bad thing, but is actually good.

I remember see'n that stuff all over the inside of my old PA vector D. I am guessing the silicone was glooped on to hold stuff on the board.

you fire it up yet to verify its not DOA or anything?

ps....that orion is just clean lookin inside

Nah I havn't yet duece, I need to get some good 4 ga. All I have right now is 1/0ga ran to the back to a 4ga. distro block.

I will be hooking it up this weekend and let you guys know what I think, propably will make a video and all that too...

So what will excess silicone do, if anything?

Right on man, I'll be firing mine up mid next week. Was that fuse holder that came with it 4 guage? I hope that thing doesn't come anywhere close to drawing 175 amps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Ya it was 4ga. fuse holder, chrome plated and black. I'll take a pic of what the amp came with later and post it up here.
