hes going to be getting a kenetic soon, so there was no point in him buying 40-50 worth of battery terminals when he likely may not use them when he gets his kenetic, so we just did it like this for the time being

why? what difference does it make as long as i used the 4" grinder to remove all paint and hella tightened it down? seems as good as any other spot to me

actually it is a good ground. i screwed a ground in 2 inches from the seatbelt in a friends ford explorer and i checked the resistance checked out. dont remember what exactly it was was something low ~1ohm.

Even so, you can get some nice terminals at discount auto for about $10 for a few of them. My friend bought some for his boat and they were really nice.
