Well I finally got that beast 12" Dreadnaut all hooked up today. I am so glad I only made it 36" wide, I thought I had more room in my trunk, but it was a TIGHT fit between the wheel wells. Oh well, at least I know its not going anywhere without a crowbar...

Only two pics, I figured you could get the idea, there isnt much to show anyway... Tell me what you guys thinkg

Looks nice, good that the carpet color matches the trunk. Not a ton of room in between the amp and top of the trunk eh? Any reason why you chose to mount the amp up top?

It was just really easy to throw it on the top of the box, there is about 4"-5" between the amp and the top, the picture is decieving because there is a metal bar in the front of the trunk there making the top look lower.

Sounds SO good, it is as loud, if not louder, than my two HX2's! Next upgrade is deffinitly an HO alt....

Keep up the good work. But sometimes when you mount an amp on a box it will short out things or rattle things off. Might want to make a small amp board.Peace

Well I had that same amp mounted on the box of my HX2's for a month or so, and nothing went wrong, and I had a JBL 600.1 on the side of the same box for even longer, and all was fine... I think I'll leave it as it is, I like how it looks and dont think anything will go wrong.

Got it at Lowe's, I think its actually for patios... Looks nice though

So anyways, tonight I got to hear it and really test it while I was going to and from work. I LOVE this sub and box. It hits the lows very nicely, I guess because the box is so large? It also has more 'punch' to it then the HX2's did, you can really feel the bass thumping in your chest. I was showing my buddy at work, who said I wasnt getting a fair trade in the first place, and he was shocked that one 12" sub could be so loud. I can safely say they are louder than my HX2's.
