Well, I traded off my Bravada yesterday for my dream car. got a 1973 Mach 1 with 80K miles on the clock. It is going to be a pretty in depth rest-mod job that I have been wanting to do for years. The car was mid restoration and "something happened" that the guy wasn't able to finish it. It has a TON of brand new NOS parts that came with it along with a bunch of new parts on it including all new suspension, gas tank, wiring, interior (black "leather"), freshly built 351W (I will be selling), new glass and seals/weatherstripping all around etc...
the paint job is absolutely one of the worst paint jobs I have EVER seen!! Both the look/quality are just plain disgusting but that is OK because that is my favorite type of work to do anyways. the car is really solid with the exception of the floor pans (not too bad really, just pin holes) and the bottom 6"-8" of the quarters which seems to have a decent amount of bondo. Frame rails, torque boxes, upper 1/4 panels and all that good stuff is SOLID soI will only have to spend about $300~ on sheet metal which is AWESOME! Literaly other than the body work/paint this car has pretty much been completely "restored". As for the paint, I am going to stick with the good 'ole yellow/black Mach-1 look, it will look pretty much factory inside and out with the exception of the rims (I want to do something like these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Black-Fits-Mustang-rims-17-9-10-5-Bullitt-Cobra_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem439c3693f1QQitemZ290383631345QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories ) engine with either be a 408W or a 514, haven't decided 100% yet but It woun't be built for a couple months so I have time to think more about it.
Basicaly going for this look but with a little rake, different rims and widest rear meat I can fit safely.
