Would need to know more about the coil to accurately describe any pros or cons. If the voice coil is very short, then BL should be pretty high because almost all of the coil will be in the gap. Of course, once it starts moving, BL would drop very quickly. The spider is also going to be very small which could introduce some non-linearities.

If the voice coil is of an average height or even taller, then power handling will be increased greatly. BL would still be pretty high and would remain more linear once the coil starts moving in the gap. Inductance would increase, potentially hurting transient response and limiting your bandwidth (same thing, effectively).

There's always going to be sacrifices one way or the other. Probably best to have a listen to these as I think they can be grabbed at fairly low(er) prices.

This would be the first set ive owned, but not the first time I have heard these.. They are excellent set, and handle tons of power... They are basicly morel elates if that tells you anything..

They are still in the new structuring phase, so maybe within the next year or 2..
