phoenix gold tantrum

How does the phoenix gold tantrum series 10' subs rate? I got talked into buying some, but the sales guy said that they were 500rms, on the site they claim 300. I just want to know how they are going to perform. How would they pound compared to the rockford punch hx2's?

It just so happens that I have had the opportunity to actually compare the two. Just for clarification I started w/ Phoenix Gold Tantrum 10" DVC. It (they) were actually not that bad. They had a nice rich tight bass that preferred a sealed enclosure. Kinda lacked a little on the real low stuff.

Now to the R.F. They were 10" DVC "he2". These were much better in the sound dept. A little lower and seemed to take the power a little better. Also preferred a sealed enclosure. IMHO, the R.F. were better performers.
