Phoenix Gold Octane R subs

what's everyones take on these subs? looking to get two tens and put them into a ported box powered with a mtx mxa8001 amp. any info will be appreciated. I'm getting them for $80/sub.

Personally for the slight price difference I would go with the octane zrs... Better built, more power handling, better tinsel leads... If your dead set on the octane rs though they do well.. They can get pretty low, and wow did they impress me how loud they got... A few years back I was running 2 15 pg titaniums, and I wanted to do a swap out for test. So i took out the ti's, and put 2 octane 15s in, and wow they were just asloud, or louder (very efficent)... They didnt have as good sq, nor did they hit as low, but they are definately good budget woofers... In all honesty I would put forth more cash to get the octane zrs due to them being better built..

Its all a matter of preference, but the zrs have put up some big numbers aswell as the rs...

I had one of these woofers in a 2.0 cu ft tuned to 32 hz and man dat thing wang,get very low and sounded decent suprise the hell out of every one that heard it. The guy i sold it too was very happy poor guy setting off car alarms and creating lawless attention well his preference //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif , i upgraded to the w6.
