never tried the other two but i liked my viper. great price and does the job

depends on which ohm you need it for. the tantrum puts out about 1500w at 2-4 ohms, while the jbl puts out max power at 1 ohm i believe. and dont get the viper, not even in the same class as these other two amps.

The Tantrum, end of discussion.

Build quality is leagues above the other two, and you'll love the flexibility in impedance. The JBL will do its maximum power between 1-2 ohms; you won't get an increase by going down to 1.

The Tantrum is simply a better built amp.

i would need it for a sonic fx quad 1 ohm so it would need to be putting out 1200 @ 1 or 4 or .25 ohm. On roe it says the tantrum puts out 250 @ 4 ohms (12.5 volt) and 1200 @ 4 ohm (14.4 volts) . Is this the case?

Ive owned the tantrum and the jbl and I like the tantrum a lot more. It seems to be quite a bit louder and is more efficient. The tantrum will do its power from 2-4.

1400 watts will get it moving pretty good. it can take more but that doesn't mean you have to give it more.

The jbl is a good amp with all respect, but the tantrum is a far better amp hands down. This decision is a no brainer.

Tantrum FTW I have mine iwred to 1 ohm right now and it hasnt gone in to protect once and my birth sheet sheet was 1576

all tantrum amps are benched at 4 ohms and they put out the same power at 2-4 ohms
