No!! Tantrums are not recommended to play at 1ohm.. 2 ohms is the minimum you should ever run it at. 2-4 ohms is ideal.

1ohm bridged is not.

That doesnt mean it wont work in 1ohm mono, im shure you could do it with very little volume with no problem

YOu put serious risk frying the amp runing it at 1ohm mono. It runs warm at 2ohms as it is. Play it safe.

you can't reallistically compare the 2. the hifonics is rated at 1 ohm/1600. the gold is 1200 underrated/2-4 ohms. it depends on what sub/subs you're running on it. if you need 1 ohm stable then the hifonics is it. if you're running sub/subs at 2-4 ohms then the pg is it.
