ESX q1204 - Bridging rear channels & running at 2 ohms OK?

Had this recommended to me in another forum and just wanted to get some second opinions.

My current setup:

Pioneer 7500mp

ESX q1204

DEI 3055 comps

2 JL 10W0s (8 ohm)

The DEIs are receiving ~ 120w each and I have the rear two channels bridged and the subs wired in parallel (i think), with each one getting about 200w.

One JL is blown and completely busted and the other's surround has completely deteriorated and probably doesn't have much life left. My right DEI woofer is also blown. I'll be replacing both the subs and comps shortly.

Anyways, I was going to replace the JLs with another set of 8 ohm (or DVC) subs, but a poster on another forum recommended that I just buy some normal 4 ohm subs (which will allow me to pick up the AA Assassins) and have the bridged rear channels running at a 2 ohm load.

This amp is a tank and I'd bet that it won't have any problem with 2 of its channels getting a 2 ohm load, but I just want to make totally sure there aren't any real downsides to me doing this. Also I'm a bit rusty on my car audio knowledge, and wanted to make sure it was even possible to run the rear 2 channels on a 2 ohm load and the front 2 channels on a normal 4 ohm load.

Thanks for the help.

According to the specs on ampguts those amps are designed to go as low as 1 ohm bridged.

2 shouldn't be a problem, and there should be no issues with 2 ch at 4 ohms and two bridged at 2.
