Basically, my points were along the lines of financial savings for company which translates to employee and customer benefits, foreign worker training is higher than worker training in USA, quality of products if managed properly can actually be higher with foreign outsourced products, and relational benefits of global economy.

Sourcing wiki is even weaker to winning a debate...

And "of" and "to" are completely different. That statement does not clearly indicate that he was argueing it was good for global economy but moreso america could benefit from it.

Either way he has not given enough info for you to retaliate on. So why are you continueing?

You could use the angle of how illegal music downloads help a band (or how little they hurt a band) due to how little of a bands income is actually generated by the CD sales themselves. Most of a bands income is from the other things you mentioned....concerts, shirts, etc. Even if you illegally downloaded the music, you may still go to the bands concert & buy shirts & accessories which is more $$ in the bands pocket than the sale of an additional CD (had the person not downloaded the music, they probably wouldn't have bought the CD anyways but might also not have gone to their concert or bought a shirt).
