Perma charger install. Power/ground gauge size?

I'm installing an IOTA DLS 55 amp power converter so at shows I can plug my car into an AC extension cord at shows and meets. The converter will be hooked up directly to the battery with a cable distance of less than 2 feet.

I was planning on using 8 AWG audio power/ground cable which should have a capacity of 100 amps. Is this large enough or should I go to 4 awg for safe measure?
