The coil could be misaligned. Same thing happened with my 10" SX. The coils would read fine and it would play ok to a certain point, but if i tapped around the surround, in a certain spot the coil would clank.Well upon further investigation when i tap the dustcap like im doing morse code it makes that sound, but pushin on it doesnt....? wtf is that.
MOFO's are pieces of shit. They have a ton of motor and can't do anything with it. Terribly inefficient and a terrible SPL woofer.oh and going from a MOFO to a type R wont do you a whole lot of good for SPL. MOFO's are loud for what they are.
Thanks bud. Sounds good. The thing is the MOFO is suprisingly loud and I just want to know that the tcab/type r setup will be louder. The highest DD SPL is what i want using that amp and the space provided. The coil could be misaligned. Same thing happened with my 10" SX. On a side note, a 15" type-r will take that hifonics amp with ease.

Sorry, i thought we were referring to the Power Acoustik MOFO, not the Memphis MOJO.Tell that to Bob Perillo. The loudest super street vehicle in the world.
HAHAHA...yeah the mofos blow in sq and spl,WAAAYYY overhyped for spl. Im sure the type r would spank it in both.Sorry, i thought we were referring to the Power Acoustik MOFO, not the Memphis MOJO.

Check the coils, if they arent blown but it still scrapes that should be covered by warrantee and you should have RE fix it. Put it back in, problem solved.
LMAO. Listen to this guy.****, 2 pages and still the thread starter really hasn't even said what he wants. Tell us what you want, and we can choose the right setup for you. Just buy precision ports from parts express and I can help you design a "TCAB" box.
