No I just meant if you can fit a pair of 18s comfortably without cutting your truck up then I would do that.

id give it another shot with 2 18s before hacking it up. You should be able to get pretty good results if you build it right.

Build the box as big as possible. Assembled inside the truck and externally braced to the truck body itself.

Build the box nice and thick with a 4" thick baffle and a massive port then shrink it down bit by big to get it where you want it.
