Ive built/heard a bunch of bandpass boxes that I finished, put it in the car and listened, was great, then modeled it up and it looked like that.

None of the box programs give a real world representation of performance

Especially for the inside of a vehicle

The programs accommodate for a large acoustically balanced area or open room

The size and shape of cars and trucks are so different

One design may work well in a certain car and sound really bad in another

I see people applying box volumes and tuning frequencies to Car Audio situations that just don’t work

Without the understanding of how the enclosure is going to react to it environment such as a sealed trunk, under a seat or 15” from your head

Hmmm, how's one supposed to know what may sound good then? What's the point of these programs if they're not reliable....seems like they should at least give a good indication of what type of response you may get from an enclosure.

Is Win ISD not reliable? What do you guys use?
