People running audiopipe ap1500

I'm using a 250 near the battery and going to add another 100 in betweenthe batcap & amp. 4 gauge, as you mentioned, is hard to get in with those 45 degree terminals. I cant even get my 0/1 reducers in there hence one reason why I want to trade/sell it.

Run 1/0 to a distribution block close to the amp(18'' or so) then run the 4awg from the distribution block to the amp. The short length will allow the 4awg to safely carry the current.

Yea I might try that^^

right now i had to shave the wire just a bit

and no im not using the fuse holder with 100A fuse

am i supposed to?

Im only using a knukonceptz 80A fuse with 4gauge and the fuse by my batt under the hood

Im running it at 2 ohms 950 watts rms

my friend helped me set gains with a DMM and set it just a little less than what we could have so i think my 80A under my hood is enough?

Btw im running stock electrical with very little voltage drops. At full tilt i dont see any lower than 13.25

Can it be shorter than 18"? Say like 4-5" from the amp so I only end up using 4-5" of 4 gauge?

4 ga , 100 amp fuse is good for 1000 rms, im gona do 150, i have that under the hood and befor my batt and after the batt. i just need the amp.159.00
100 amp fuse doesn't mean its good for 1000 rms. that in no way has any correlation. the # of amp fuse you should use corresponds to the fuses located at the back of your amplifier.

per say my arc ks300.2 has 2 x 30 amp fuses. so thats 60 amps, now then, my audiopipe 18001D has a 120 amp fuse in it. so that's a total of 180 amps. then you'd usually add 10 or 20 extra amps more or less, then totaling out at 200 amps.

therefore, it is recommended to get a 200 amp fuse.

u wana match the draw from the amp i had a sundown1200d with 150 worth of fuses. i had a 100 amp under the hood and blew it in 5 secs or so. i went up to a 150 under the hood and all has been good for 3+months., most of the time a 4ga wire with 100amp fuse is good for 1000 watts
