When is the last time you air dusted it out? Also look for a PC fan monitor of some kind. What kind of computer do you have?

I have a pair of 512MB memory RAM things laying around, but I don't have them on, I read somewhere that mismatching memory brands aren't good or something

RAM it has now is INFINEON, ones I have laying around are KINGSTON

This is what I have

"Integrated NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE Graphics with TurboCache supporting up to 256MB shared video memory"

If you're using an integrated graphics card you probably need to lower all your graphics settings to play that game.

i think we found the problem the video card is it even playing without lagging cause i remember on my old dell i bought a decent video card for it and it would lagg up

Hold delete on start up...Should be a temp monitoring in the bios... However if you are overheating hp bios settings will shut down pc at 96 Degrees. Run spyware, Norton and defrag. Also try disk check. Let me know bro I can help you out!

The game has been running, I don't have a problem with it running, runs perfect without lag, only parts where it lags is the cut scenes, but that error, it's the second time it has happened in the past month or so

Have you scanned pc? (virus, spyware, etc.)

if you are running the integrated graphics card then that is probably it. buy this card for it and you will have no problems running most any game. witht hat processor and a gig of ram it should quite a good gaming rig.

If the game was running successfully at one point, this could be a corrupt ini file. You will need to edit the Options.ini file for C&C Generals:

Click on the Start button.

Open the My Documents folder.

Open the Command and Conquer Generals Data folder.

Delete the Options.ini file

Generals will create a new Options.ini file

Maybe this will work?

if its just your harddrive, might wanna try something like this before spending more on a new video card
