paypal dispute against me.. not mentioning names yet....

LOL, you have a strange history of having amplifiers mysteriously blow up without you doing anything to it while it's "not hooked up".

That should tell you something...

You bought an amp. It worked. Transaction complete. next you remove the amplifier and store it for a month, then re-hook it up. Now the amplifier doesn't work. These are not related; these are two different actions. For example, i bought a deck here on the forums. it worked fine when i received it. TRANSACTION COMPLETE. A month later it stopped reading CD's. This was not the fault of the original seller; it worked as described when i purchased it. You are essentially asking for this seller to provide you with a warranty on your used goods. If you need a warranty and are willing to to pay for a warranty, don't buy something used on a forum. If you want something with a warranty, buy it new and fry it to your hearts content, then use the warranty you purchased to have it replaced.

hell, I bought a DD z1 from a member on here and it blew up 2 months later with nothing hooked to it,

Sounds you pretty much confirmed that its your fault. At least this is how people are going to see it. THey will probly call you a noob and say you shouldnt be doing these things yourself. Then more bashing will ensue. Just quit now.

FYI... it is your responsibility to make sure the item works. If you tell him that it works fine he expects that you are happy w/ the item and goes about his business. I would be pretty pissed if someone charged back against me a month later after telling me it worked fine... stuff happens, thats why you test it thoroughly when you get it.

Paypal will agree and will side with the seller, so you are only wasting your time and his time at this point. Quite like if you had tested it and it immediatly failed that he would have taken care of you... but a month later, thats just not reasonable.

Wow this makes me think to have a disclaimer on anything i sell and have the buyer agree to it before proceeding though with the transaction from now on. Making sure that once its been tested to be operable that its from that point the buyers responsibility. Thats crazy if you ask me

wow this thing just blew up.. lol i wasnt gonna say a name until this escalated further to a claim... i dont sell junk, i have a 100% feedback rating on ebay, and have never screwed anyone in the past here or on sounddomain forums.... hopefully paypal doesnt take my money... if they try i will get the bank on it i guess..... what do you do

Even if the buyer wins the dispute over paypal. Paypal is a POS. Even if you win, you really won't get nothing UNLESS he has money in his paypal. So as long as you don't leave money in there he won't be getting jack even if he wins. That's what happened to me when some sob scammed me. It's the buyers fault for not thoroughly testing the item to made sure it was stable/working condition. You don't have an item for one month and then want a refund. Something must of been wrong, amp's don't just die sitting inside the box. You should of contacted the seller first (to see if he would work out some kind of deal at least) (maybe you did who knows) before you went straight to paypal dispute.

His obligation to you ended once you reported back to him that you tested it and it worked.

I don't think either side did anything wrong- I'd just chalk this one up to "Shit happens" and move on.

even after a month the product was purchased and was in good condition when the buyer got it and used it? When he took it out it got messed up, that's his own fault. If this is true, then i'll start buying shit and say it gets messed up a month later and get my money back plus free stuff //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
heck, you could prolly even buy your kids 3 laptops and do a chargeback on your credit card and the creditors wouldnt even question your ass.

You said you had PM's from him stating everything was fine an it worked. Show them to paypal if somthin happens.
hell, i even sent paypal pictures of emails and also told em that i have a video of my amp working prior to sending it out, but guess what, they didnt seem to care. theyre lazy SOBs i tell you.
