Paypal concerns...Help!

I never really used it much. I'm about to send a pretty large payment for some goods. The guy is a verified member on paypal but the account has only been opened for a month. I'm kinda hesistant right now. Is there anyway I can get screwed if I send the money?

paypal will actually replace your money if it gets stolen. They did this for me however they only paid for some it and not the whole thing so keep that in mind. If he's verified then it should be alright. Did you buy through ebay?

I didnt get buy it on ebay. I dont even remember how I found the guy but I found his contact info and spoke with him. Am I just being paranoid?

i think it'll be fine, but you could try asking him for some pics with his name or something to prove he actually has them. then if he rips you off he's just a dick.

You need to be very careful when sending money through paypal. If you get ripped off, they don't always get it back for you.

True! I am $100+ in the hole because a guy filed a report and then closed his account on me and they didnt get it back AFTER he received his item...so yeah, easy to get fuked over with PP. I dont use paypal anymore, only money orders or cash or CC(through my shop).
