Passenger door quiter then driver door

Ok I am baffeled...

Had memphis PR 6.75" speakers... stereo imaging was good (well as good as can be expected in a car with stock speaker placement). Driver side speaker blew... bought some pioneer premier TS-D602's... now the sound is definitly more driver side focused.

I thought for sure it was my install on the passenger side (was rushed cause it started raining) but I took it apart and trimmed the screws so the adapter plates were all flush and sealed good but it still sounds a bit off. With my rear fill on it sounds good but with front only it sounds left heavy. I sat in the middle of the car and its a good balance in the middle (vocals sound like they are right in front of me, cant tell where the speakers are my hearing alone) so my conclusion is the speakers are both working normally and everything is hooked up right... but why does it sound so wonky in the driver seat while my memphis sounded good (k well the pioneer sound better but the balace is off)

My stock driver's side component set blew out as well, and I replaced them and the driver's side is extremely low compared to the passenger's side. I came to the conclusion a channel is messed up on my stock head unit so I'm replacing the head unit and that should fix it. Are you using your stock head unit? Just a suggestion, could be a totally different problem. gl

won't hurt the tweeter, so give it a try. Could be a phase issue with the new speakers as JB is alluding to.
Otherwise shift your Balance a fuzz on the HU.
I will try swapping the polarity tonight.

That would work if I was only using the front but the fronts alone can't keep up to my subs... front and rear sounds awesome though. (and I did try moving the balance 1 or 2 notches and it still doesn't sound quite right...)

Running on a Alpine PDX4.150 (set gain with DMM to 60wrms) and I tried swapping channles on the amp... no difference. Thanks for the suggestion though.

The only other thing I can think of is I messed up my crimp connections in the door when I swapped speakers...
