Hey i found this website last night and it has tons of useful information i like it so i decided to become a member. I love car audio i own a 1998 f-150 4.6l v8.
I have: Alpine IVA W505 touch screen. JL audio a2150 amp. JL audio 5x7 door speakers. JL audio Slash series 500/1 sub amp. JL audio 10w7 subwoofer.
Im running this off one battery and its pulling alot of volts dimming my headlights alot. I have not done the BIG3 yet but im going to today. Once im done with that i'll see how everything works.
Ok heres my question now.. I dont know how to hook up two batteries. From what I THINK I know, I can hook them directly to each other. like - to -, + to + with a good 4ga cable. and have the two amps running from the 2nd battery positive. While grounding the amps to the Body and the negative terminal on 2nd battery. Is this correct?
Is there a link to correctly hooking up dual batteries. Thanks everyone
