seeing as he has already decided to get my nightshade i will tell you hands down the nightshade will destroy the 12" L7's get lower and take more power doing it...And be louder on the mic..

Im sure the nightshades ****ing hammer. But all i am saying is the L7s will to in the right setup. Plus last time I checked L7s are dirt cheap through ebay. I actually borrowed a pair of 06 L7s from a friend for the last comp and barely had like 1200 watts on them and they did a 146.6 no problem. But what was amazing to everyone is the fact they sounded really good. Everyone was like wow i never heard l7s sound that good. It was all box and install.

Everyone educate me. Isn't the FS on the nightshades high as hell due to there stiff-ness?

Nevermind I just educated myself and 38 hz FS on the D2 18. Thats not very low for an 18. Im guessing the subs suspension still keeps it from loosing control when dropped much lower than its FS. Since you guys keep talking about how low the 18 will play.

you'd be surprised, i don't know about the nightshade first hand, but for instance, the audioque hd3c 12 has an fs of 43, and i have it in a box tuned at 38hz and it destroys lows...
