I see. Well maybe I've just had bad luck. I had one 15" L7 on my mtx 1501d and the sub did not like the power at full tilt. back in the days I had two 12" L7 off one pb 3000d and they had so much fail in them. Solo X on the other hand loves my mm3000.I know it can handle it but it sounds like crap! Ive seen it done!
Delvryboy, an old teammate had 15's, and 10's in different installs with a kicker 2500.1 on each, and sometimes on 16 volt.Never seen an L7 handle true 1500rms or more for 1 songs length. Shouldn't doubt something I haven't seen but I'll call BS till I see some proof.
Gotta remember that in the lanes doing a burp is a LOT diff then daily pounding at full tilt.Delvryboy, an old teammate had 15's, and 10's in different installs with a kicker 2500.1 on each, and sometimes on 16 volt.
I have personally seen plenty of people very successful in the lanes with the L7's.
Since then i have got out of competition's, but have seen PLENTY of proof of what they are capable off.
Most people forget, a sub is only as good is the install.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Between the above choices, the L7's should have the cone area and coil advantage.
I dunno about 1500, but if I'm remembering right that the JBL bp1200.1 goes around ~1400 RMS at 1ohm according to the birthsheet, I gave that to my 2004 L715 for probably three months before it finally blew, and that was with bass boost up a little too high and the gain setting completely wrong. I'd play that thing for easily an hour at a time when I was showing it off or just cruising around.Never seen an L7 handle true 1500rms or more for 1 songs length. Shouldn't doubt something I haven't seen but I'll call BS till I see some proof.
