Exactly how much power you plan on running?

Whatever is needed! I see the nighshade can handle 3500 rms! I have an amp that will put down about 2800! I was running the L7's with bout 1200 per sub!

288sq cone area for the L7's, 254sq on the Nightshade. L7's are SPL oriented in general.

My GUESS is the L7's will get louder, but maybe not.

I;ve ran both but will let all others answer oh yeah here are a couple vids of 2 18" nightshades getting roughly 2000rms each..Oh and they were tuned to 32hz..

Man I've never heard the 18 NS but a buddy of mine has the 15 and it is REDICULOUS. However I would think the 2 L7's would edge out the NS as I've heard 2 L7's in a variety of different applications and when done right they absolutely slam....they just sound like shit compared to the NS

Yeah see im in the same boat! Ive got em in a 7 cube box and they do slam but sound like poopey! Ive seen alot of people on here like to run em and Ive had no experience with em as Ive never even heard of em before a few days ago! As far as a 18 Ive never even owned a sub that big lol!

Ive got a US Amps MD3D and I run it at .5 ohm! Alot of people dont know that it will handle that ohm load but I've talked talked to some people that know some people and it handles it just fine!

once you go 18 you will never go back..That applies to a lot of things

Well then just scoop up the NS. You'll probably have to get a little more efficient with your setup to keep up with those 2 12's but who knows, maybe you dont'. Why not just do 2 NS 15's? Tune that ***** low and you'll be the mobile earthquake machine

I dont know what the 06 looks like I dont think so though because I just bought it new in April!
