Painting for a high gloss finish

What do i need to do. Today i just put woodfiller on all the corners and will sand that tomorrow after school and put the first coat of primer on it.

What if i put a thin layer of fiberglass resin on the outside? Would that help keep the mdf from soaking up paint and make it glossier? How long do you think it would take to sand (and what grit)?

If i dont do the resin, what type of primer and paint should i get? Also what sandpaper should i sand it with and when (like what grit before i prime, after i prime, after 1st coat of paint, etc)

thanks

I sand down the MDF with 150 grit sandpaper and try and make the edges as smooth as possible. Then I use a nice primer and sand it to make it smooth, if there are still some "fuzzies" from the wood. Couple of coats of paint, then clear coat.

This one didn't come out like I wanted it to but it still looks decent. It's not blotchy but it doesn't have that "perfect" mirror finish.

use the wood filler to fell in all the holes and imperfections. I work at a body shop so i use all autobody stuff to prime and paint it. I'll use some high build primer. prime it sand with some 180 the prime again and sand with some 400. Seal it then put a few coats of paint on depending on color depends on amount of coats. Some colors cover alot quicker then others. Then clear it. Usually a couple coats of clear will do it. then u can color sand and buff if you want
